Arkadian TOP | 7 Parodias musicales de Star Wars

Musicalmente hablando Star Wars es una obra magnífica que tiene persistencia en la cultura auditiva popular; tan fácilmente identificable es su fanfarria inicial como la marcha imperial y se han utilizado infinitamente no solamente en el universo SW sino en muchas obras y productos multimedia no oficiales o relacionados. En este TOP, no hablaremos de la música de esta saga sino de la música que se ha hecho tomándola de inspiración o como parodia, y así como misteriosa e inesperada es la galaxia, hay cosas que ni se imaginan.

Star Wars Musical (Disney Parody) de George Shaw

Disney y Star Wars ahora conviven en el mismo universo y esta es una muestra de cómo el equipo de George Shaw colisiona/conjunta estos mundos que hace años parecían tan distantes de comulgar. La orquestación así como la interpretación vocal es maravillosa, limpia, nítida y conserva el tono paródico todo el tiempo. Es deliciosa la forma en la que se conjuntan los temas de la saga con las múltiples melodías clásicas de Disney. Esta obra fue filmada totalmente en pantalla verde con fondos pintados a mano según la tradición del viejo Walt.

Star Wars Disney Musical de Michael, Paul y Leah Clarkson

Nuevamente Disney hace de las suyas, o más bien, encontramos otra propuesta que conjunta estos universos. A diferencia de la selección anterior, la musicalización toma las bases originales de los films del ratón pero las letras son adaptadas de una forma muy ingeniosa en pequeños fragmentos que intercalan la historia de la saga con las canciones clásicas; aunque la interpretación vocal no es tan pulida, la forma en la que se imitan las voces de los personajes originales está muy bien lograda. Por si fuera poco, hay más de una parte y si alguna vez viste las versiones “canta conmigo” de las películas te sentirás encantado.

Valiéndose de un juego de palabras y una canción de Maroon 5, la gente de MAD produce esta canción para un episodio transmitido en Cartoon Network. Esta es la versión en español latino.

Moves like Jabba de Andy Signore

Sí, una vez más el tema se repite pero en la versión no animada, la interpretación vocal así como la adaptación de la letra es mucho muy superior a la obra que se cita arriba gracias a los arreglos musicales de Sean Motley.

Hologram Girl de Kinect Star Wars

La misma franquicia se tomó algunas licencias en su excepcional juego Kinect Star Wars, donde existe una modalidad de baile al estilo Just Dance. En este modo de juego es posible bailar con y contra los personajes de la saga al son de canciones populares pero letras modificadas al contexto SW, en este caso mi favorita: Hologram Girl, que toma la base musical y vocal de una canción de Gwen Stefani. Aunque muchos lo odien, es el mejor juego de la galaxia.

Spaceball Theme de la película Spaceballs

Una de las parodias más tempranas de Star Wars fue Spaceballs, una película de Mel Brooks, con Rick Moranis (el teto de Querida, encogí a los niños) en el papel de Dark Helmet. Todo el soundtrack de esta película es una excelente variación de los temas originales, cortesía del composito John Morris, sin embargo, el tema principal del film es maravillosamente ochentero al más puro estilo de las películas de acción de la época.

Darth Vader vs Adolf Hitler de ERBOH

Nice Peter y Epic Lloyd son las mentes maestras detrás de Epic Rap Battles of History y a lo largo de varias temporadas enfrentan a estos dos villanos en tres batallas, a su vez, sus intervenciones articulan la continuidad de sus episodios y presentan otros personajes de la saga.
